Wanda Shope
The first time a teddy bear came to life in Wanda’s hands
and made her giggle, she knew she’d found her niche. That
was 12 years ago and she’s thankful every day that she has a
job that fills her with joy. For the past four years, Wanda’s
designs have been focused on clowns and a diverse group of characters.
Wanda’s bulletin board holds a list of bears that she wants to design
and her shelf is full of works-in-progress. When the bulletin board
is blank and the shelves are empty, she says she’ll quit. Until then,
she is enjoying a wonderful way of making a living.
