| Some folfs just don't know how to keep a secret. Take
the example of one Critter Gitter. It was a simple idea. A cookout
on the anniversary of our nation's independence. Family and maybe
a few friends who felt like a hot dog (or two, or three, or five,
or thirty-one) and a soft drink. So up on the HHGH board it went:

| Lurking out in cyberspace, sitting at the HHGH table, the announcement was read by the membership.The mentally inefficient, the ambulatory challenged, the just plain strange, and worst of all, the contingent from south of the Manson-Nixon line always looking for a free meal. | Why not

So what if we had to bring our own
chairs, and hush puppies for Critter to try to cross breed with
some kinda foreign creature called a Krimpet. So began the march
of loose cannons upon the Castle at Critter Creek. Mad Dog took
it all in stride, Critter Gitter was a gracious host, and Goober
was in seventh heaven. |

Now, gentle reader, bear in mind that
this started as a simple picnic. In the end, it was a gastronomic
feast with homemade everything. (and even celebrating a birthday), and Donnie giving close supervision, the deserts were in peril before the charcoal was even lit. Ms. Magnolia found that Kate really is in charge of Donnie,
and Donnie's sponsor learned that HHGHer's are still HUGGERS.
