| Comments:The
S2d is a new variety which is not yet in the Blue Book. The design
combines
elements from the S2a and S2b. The fdl is similar to the S2a (it is not
touching
the border). The sky is similar to the S2b (TRQ). The most noticeable
difference
is the back of the flap. The S2d has a thick white rubber backing. The
texture and look is much different from the S2c (which has a thin
opaque white backing).
This flap was only used for a few years. The correct chronological ordering of the S2 varieties does not correspond to the a,b,c,d,e designations in the Blue Book (they were assigned letters based on discovery). The correct chronological order is S2e, S2a, S2b, S2d, and S2c. |
