In 1988, the lodge issued a delegate flap designed by Harry DeBan. The
flap
is a particularly stunning use of blues and gold mylar. Approximately
300?
of these flaps were issued. The dark blue background is complemented by
the
blue rolled-edge border. In the middle of the flap is a blue and gold
mylar
turtle. This is the first appearance of this design on a lodge issue.
It
is also seen on the lodge jacket and the 1988 lodge conclave patch. WWW
and
159 are stitched in red. The fdl and 'HO-DE-NO-SAU-NEE' are stitched in
gold
mylar. Dark green was used in '1988 NOAC.' Flaps were also sewn onto
contingent
hats. |
