With the exception
of your first homework assignments (the Student
Survey and the vCard), all homework
assignments must be e-mailed to
me according to the following schedule.
The Student Survey and vCard
assignments are due by noon of the day the ITM 5000 class begins. Late
submissions will be accepted but you will lose points depending upon how
"late" your submission was.
Assignments that are received after
the stated deadlines will have points deducted. If you wait until the
last minute to submit your homework, you run the risk that your e-mail
may be delayed due to server or Internet problems. If there is a system
failure that prevents you from complying with this deadline, it is your
responsibility to notify me by telephone. If you cannot get through to
me (or my answering machine) for some reason, you can leave a message with
the Webster office.
The timestamp on your e-mail message will be
used to determine when it was submitted.
Assignments that are turned in
late will lose a minimum of 1 point. Additional points will deducted in
proportion to the length of time that they exceed the due date.
If you know that you are going to be
out of town on business or for personal reasons, you should try
to complete the assignment in advance of the due date. Otherwise,
contact me for a specific extension. If you do not inform me of your
absence in advance, no extensions of the due date will be given.
If you
complete an assignment in advance, you can submit it as soon as it is
completed. However, you should not get too far ahead since there is always
the possibility that this semester's assignment may be different than the
one I used the previous semester. If you need to work ahead (because of a planned absence), check with me first to
make sure that the assignment will not be changed.
