It's OK to work ahead on
homework assignment (especially if you expect to be away on a business
trip).
You can submit them as soon as you are done
and I will credit them to you after I have had a chance to review them.
If you submit an assignment early, your
overall homework grade will be greater than 100% for a period of time.
That's because I only increase the denominator (for the entire class)
after the due date. The spreadsheet is updated for the entire class ..
not for each individual. The "To-Date" row at the bottom of
the Homework Grades page shows the total points that I count as of that
week's assignment.
Your main concern should be that I have
received and recorded all of the assignments that you have submitted to
me ... not the percentage. If you want to obtain your "real
average", simply subtract the grades for the early submission from
the total homework points I display for you and divide by the
"Total Points" on the Course Grades web page.
