You should download and print
out copies of the Review Topics for each chapter.
Click on the HOMEWORK link in the menu on the left side of this web page to
access these guidelines. There is a separate web page for
each week's assignments.
These pages will tell you what
topics I think are most important in each chapter and the ones that you
should find the answers to prior to class. The lecture topics will come
from this list.
The review questions are designed to
help you prepare for each class and for the tests. They are all in Microsoft
Word format. You can either insert extra space after each question so that
you can write in your answers or you can type in your answers as you read
each chapter.
Bring
these review topics with you to class so that you can refer to them if I
call on you. If you do not understand a particular topic, feel free to ask
questions when we get to it in class. You can also add comments if we
discuss something in class that you did not initially include during your
preparation.
Some
questions are not covered in the book. To facilitate your note-taking and to
help you in case you have to miss class, I have included brief explanations
on the review sheets.
I will not have time to cover everything on the
Review Sheets during the lecture. So I will select the items that I
think are either most important or more likely to be confusing to
students unfamiliar with information technology.
If you have extra time, you
can read the other material in each chapter. However, you will only be
expected to know the topics on the review sheets for the tests.
