1. Discuss and evaluate the debates surrounding investment by multinational corporations in developing countries as they relate to the status of women. Do women benefit from these investments, or not?
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a human rights perspective ( as expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights) to improve the conditions of women around the world?
3. Do women across the world have the same interests? Can a viable political movement be focused on building a "global sisterhood?" Or do religious and cultural differences outweigh the commonalities? What are the challenges and promises for women's global political activism?
4. Discuss the role of feminism and women's activism in addressing the issues of population growth and reproductive rights.
