Now that you have reviewed examples of the achievements of the ancient Chinese, you need to think which achievements affect our community today. You are going to recieve a placard with one of the inventions you explored in today's webquest. You must decide where you would place that invention on a spectrum (see picture below) from "Achievement Greatly Affects Our Community" to "Achievement Does Not Greatly Affect Our Community."

You will have two to three minutes once you get your placard to discuss where on the spectrum they would place the achievement to present to the class. You will then come forward, stand on the spectrum where you think their achievement belongs, and hold your placard in front of your chest.

The teacher will assume the role of devil's advocate by challenging students to defend their placement. Expect a lively discussion!
