Find some information that you will
find useful - as we begin this adventure of web page creation: Web
Page Documentation.
Activities:
For all:

Set mail and news preferences.
-
Open your bookmark file on your disk.
-
Construct and post a practice
web page.
-
Reset mail and news preferences on lab
computer before shutting down.
For 2 credit hour option:
-
Continue to explore
the internet and gather bookmarks related to your research topic. Evaluate
sites you visit for both their content and structure.
For 3 credit hour option:
-
Begin work on
web page development.
-
Begin to plan
your web site structure (at least 3 pages-perhaps more than one level).

Gather background
and images (minimum of 2) to support the structure and content. Possible
sources for free graphics include:
-
Start planning
and writing the content.
-
Plan what personal
information you want on your pages.
-
Continue to gather
pertinent links. Evaluate sites you visit for both their content and structure.
Assignments: Before
the sixth class session**
you need to:
-
Send an e-mail message to your instructor
which should include:
-
any questions you have, and
-
two picks for "links of the week"
-
Communicate with others in the class
via e-mail.
** PLEASE
NOTE: All e-mail assignments to your instructor need to be sent no
later than midnight, Saturday preceding class.
