Hermann Von Helmholtz
(1821-1894)
One of the great scientists of the nineteenth century who, along with Thomas Young, advanced a trichromatic theory of color vision. He also advanced a theory of pitch perception and was the first to measure the speed of conduction of a nervous impulse.
