Ernst Heinrich Weber
(1795-1878)
Well-known, nineteenth-century physiologist who was the first to establish a quantitative relationship between the physical properties of stimuli and the experience of those stimuli. Weberís book, The Sense of Touch, launched the field of psychophysics.
