Mind and Body: A Quantitative Relationship
The amount of sensation (the mental quality) depends on the amount of stimulation (the physical or material quality).
Absolute Threshold: The point of sensitivity below which no sensations can be detected and above which sensations can be experienced.
Differential Threshold: The point of sensitivity at which the least amount of change in a stimulus will give rise to a change in sensation.
