It is the nexus where our society’s social, political, economic and moral concerns are identified, battled, worked out and addressed. Webster University’s Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership is designed at every level to integrate the theory that drives the nonprofit sector through a holistic business-focused approach.

Nonprofit leaders can no longer just focus on delivering their mission They must know how to blend business and mission. Webster’s MA in Nonprofit Leadership program is designed to service nonprofit professionals preparing for leadership as well as individuals in other sectors seeking to shift careers to create social impact.

This business-focused program incorporates key nonprofit skills and expertise of revenue development, program implementation, assessment, and formation of alliances and partnerships to make you a better leader within the nonprofit business.

Program Learning Outcomes

Students completing Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership will be able to:

  • Articulate the important terminology, facts, concepts, principles, analytic techniques and theories used in the field of nonprofit leadership.
  • Analyze complex factual situations using the important facts, concepts and theories of the nonprofit leadership field to help diagnose best practices, problems and opportunities facing nonprofit organizations.
  • Integrate theories and models to develop solutions to complex issues and problems facing leaders of nonprofit organizations, and then demonstrate the effectiveness of their solutions using quantitative or qualitative criteria.
