The Confucius Institute at Webster University (WUCI) is a cooperative project between Webster University and Beijing Language and Culture University. Webster's Confucius Institute was established in 2008 with the mission to support Chinese language and culture education at Webster University and throughout the St. Louis area.
The WUCI aims to:
- Serve as a resource to Webster University and St. Louis-area schools in developing and strengthening Chinese language programs; support the scholarly exchange of ideas in China-related disciplines.
- Foster cross-cultural understanding through community-wide programming and exchange activities.
- Ensure the dedicated, enthusiastic staff at the WUCI continue to bring Chinese culture and language to our community in beautiful and engaging ways.
