The Department of Public Safety is committed to providing a safe and secure environment by consistently seeking and finding ways to promote, preserve, and deliver a feeling of security, safety, and quality of service to the campus, its employees, students and to the community to which it serves.
Regardless of our efforts to provide a safe campus, there is no guarantee that a person will not become the victim of a crime while on campus; the possibility does exist and is always present. Crime prevention on campus is not just the responsibility of the Webster University Department of Public Safety; it is a shared responsibility between the individual and the Department of Public Safety. Students, faculty, and staff must accept responsibility for helping to maintain a safe environment.
Webster University encourages all individuals who attend, work or visit the campus and satellite campuses to follow basic personal and property crime prevention procedures for yourself and for those around you.
The Webster Department of Public Safety provides protective and safety services to the campus community. The office of Public Safety is located at 572 Garden Ave. next to the entrance of the Garden Park Plaza. The Department Security staff are trained and licensed by the St. Louis County Police Department and granted power of arrest status for the Webster Community.
