Webster, UHSP Create New Pathway for Pharmacy Students
Webster University and University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) have created a pipeline program to accelerate the acceptance of Webster biological sciences students into the Doctor of Pharmacy program at St. Louis College of Pharmacy at UHSP.
Webster, Uzbekistan Ministry of Health Discuss Health Programs for Tashkent
Webster University and representatives from the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health signed an agreement to explore ways the institutions can bolster health education at Webster’s Tashkent campus in Uzbekistan. The agreement was signed on Webster’s campus in St. Louis on May 11.
Webster University Wins Sixth National Collegiate Chess Title
Webster University's chess team recently won the President’s Cup national collegiate chess championship, a two-day tournament between the four top college chess teams in the country. Webster is now tied for the most national championships in the tournament’s history.
Webster and Barnes-Jewish College Sign STEM-Nursing Degree Partnership
Under this dual enrollment program, students will have the opportunity to earn a Webster University undergraduate biology degree, and an undergraduate nursing degree at Barnes-Jewish College, Goldfarb School of Nursing, allowing them to expand future job opportunities.
Gorloks Win Sixth Straight SLIAC Title
The Webster men's golf team competed in the SLIAC Men's Golf Championships at Far Oaks Golf Club, winning for the sixth time running, this time with a three-round score of 875 (299-295-281, +11), beating out Spalding University (Kentucky) by 25 strokes.
Webster Receives $1.4 Million Grant to Prepare STEM Teachers
Webster received a $1.4 million Robert Noyce grant from the National Science Foundation. Webster Educating STEM Teachers Bound for Success is a five-year grant that will provide future STEM teachers with scholarships and opportunities during their junior and senior years of study at Webster University.
Webster Nursing, STEM Programs Receive Over $1 Million in Federal Funds
Webster University was awarded more than $1 million as part of the funding bill signed by President Joe Biden, to increase accessibility to nationally ranked Nursing, Counseling, Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice and other STEM programs.
Webster First in Missouri for Minority Student Graduate Degrees
For the 31st year in a row, Webster University was listed in Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine’s annual ranking of the 100 top institutions of higher education that conferred the most undergraduate and graduate degrees to students who identify as Black, Asian, Latino or Native American.
