Virtual Ceremonies from Individual Schools and Colleges
The virtual commencement ceremonies include all of the pomp and circumstance of our traditional main ceremony. The event commences with a virtual flag ceremony followed by speeches from University leadership including Chancellor Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble and President Julian Z. Schuster.
Jackie Joyner-Kersee, the “Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century,” delivers the commencement address to our graduates. The chair of the Webster University board of trustees shares words of encouragement and the Alumni Association board president officially welcomes the class of 2021 into its global network of over 200,000 Gorloks. Once a Gorlok, always a Gorlok!

Note about Graduate-Submitted Images
NOTE for GRADUATES WHO SUBMITTED IMAGES: An unfortunate error made by a vendor has prevented the University from sharing images submitted by graduates that were scheduled to be shown during the ceremonies. We share in your disappointment. We are moving forward with Commencement as a day for all graduates to celebrate their academic achievements with their family and friends. We will scroll all the graduates names on screen during Saturday’s ceremonies so that all of our new alumni are recognized.
Many inquired about an in-person ceremony. We are actively exploring the possibility of in-person ceremonies to be held during fall semester.
View and download (PDF) Webster University's 102nd Annual Commencement Ceremony Program. However, the names of graduates from all campuses* scrolled on the screen as part of the virtual ceremony.
