RSVPs Required for Commencement

All graduates and their guests must RSVP to participate or attend graduation. Registration information will be posted soon. Learn more about the upcoming Commencement and previous Commencement ceremonies.

1. Submit a Petition to Graduate

There are several times students can graduate each year, and the deadline to petition to graduate is typically two months prior to the graduation date.

March 2023 Graduation

Petitions to graduate forms due to the departments/Academic Affairs on Jan. 16, 2023.

Graduates are invited to the Commencement ceremony held on May 13, 2023.

May 2023 Graduation

Petitions to graduate forms due to the departments/Academic Affairs on Feb. 17, 2023.

Commencement ceremony held on May 13, 2023.

Petitions will be routed to the correct staff member once form is completed and submitted.

NOTE: An email confirming receipt of the petition will be sent upon submission.

2. Clear Business Office Accounts

Students who have completed all their academic requirements to graduate must clear their Student Business Office account balance prior to diploma and transcript release. Credit card payments are subject to a 2.75% convenience fee. Check payments have a holding period of 10 days before release of transcripts.

4. Purchase Your Cap and Gown

St. Louis-area graduates may purchase their caps and gowns at the University Bookstore.
