What enticed you to choose Webster for your degree?

Webster was the perfect fit for me. I could work a full-time job and attend classes at night. I had heard so many positive things about Webster, and the convenient locations made it easy to take classes with others in my same situation.

What stood out about your studies at Webster?

I recall the application to the real world. That was one of the most striking aspects to me. The ability to have real-time conversations and lectures that were directly related to my current activities.

How did your Webster degree help advance you in your career?

My Webster degree contributed to my professional development by expanding my perspective on leadership, problem solving and organizational strategy. Through coursework and collaboration with classmates from different professional backgrounds, I was able to refine skills that support effective decision-making and program management in my career. The experience also strengthened my focus on long-term professional growth and lifelong learning.

What is something valuable you have learned during your career?

There’s always more than one solution. Flexibility is crucial, and involving others in your decision-making process is essential. While it’s tempting to make a quick decision without considering others’ perspectives, learning from their insights can be incredibly valuable.

What advice would you give to others who are considering Webster for their degree?

It’s a great decision to go to Webster, whether for your undergraduate degree or graduate degree. The faculty is great. The student population is wonderful, and the campus is top tier.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

I attended three different campuses, each with its own unique characteristics. However, one constant that I enjoyed on all campuses was the library. It was an ideal place for studying and finding resources. I could sit down, focus and complete my assignments without any distractions.

As for my favorite spot around the University, it would always be a restaurant. Since I attended school at night, I would always look for a place to eat before class. There were grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance, making it convenient for me to grab a bite to eat.

What has your life journey looked like?

I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and currently reside in St. Louis. My life’s journey has been quite interesting. After graduating from college, I secured an internship in Missouri and eventually landed a job at a prominent company in St. Louis. I took advantage of its graduate education reimbursement programs to complete my education. Now I’m a mother of one and a real estate investor who’s constantly seeking financial education. I understand that my responsibilities have changed since I first attended Webster University. I want to ensure that I’m utilizing the gifts I’ve been given to the best of my ability.

How do you spend your free time?

These days, my free time is pretty limited. I enjoy going outside, running, walking and playing pickleball. I’ve also been reading a lot more books.
