Embark on an Exciting Career Journey
The Bachelor of Arts in Fitness Programming and Management prepares students for careers in fitness leadership, gym/studio ownership, medical/pharma sales, strength and conditioning, corporate wellness and digital health entrepreneurship.
The program blends a core exercise science curriculum with psychology and other science-centered courses, in addition to fundamental training in business, marketing and leadership. Students complete applied internships and may personalize their career path with select electives in Dance, Education or Business.

What You Will Learn
Graduates of the program learn to apply their knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology in fitness and wellness settings and will acquire the skills needed to apply business, sales, leadership and marketing know-how conducive to the same industries. In addition, graduates will learn to design, implement and assess individual and group fitness programs.

Salaries for Fitness Programming and Management Majors
Jobs for exercise physiologists are predicted to increase by 9% through 2034. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the median annual wage for fitness trainers was $46,180 in May 2024. Jobs for athletic trainers are predicted to increase 11% through 2034. Also according to BLS, as of May 2024, the median annual wage for athletic trainers who go on to earn a master's degree, is $60,250.
