with professionals driving tech innovation in the pet care industry.
At Webster University, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. For students in the Computer Science Club, it extended into the heart of the tech industry during a visit to Nestlé Purina in downtown St. Louis.
The experience gave students a firsthand look at how their academic skills translate into real-world careers. With support from faculty mentors, they worked through a business strategy challenge, practiced interview techniques and networked with professionals at the intersection of technology and innovation.
Many of the students involved are part of the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology, where collaboration is a core value and professional development is built into the academic experience. Faculty members played a key role in organizing the visit, reinforcing a culture that supports students in turning curiosity into action.
The Computer Science Club is one of more than 100 student organizations at Webster that help students grow their skills and explore new paths. For those interested in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or software development, hands-on experiences like this open the door to what’s next.
Webster encourages students to explore what matters to them. For those drawn to technology and driven by big questions, there’s room here to ask, build and grow.
