The Walker School of Business & Technology is proud to have earned specialized accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for BS, BA, MBA, MA and MS programs. ACBSP's global mission is to pursue a better tomorrow by advancing and recognizing excellence in business education through continuous improvement.
To prepare students for career success in an increasingly globally integrated business and technological economy utilizing a student-centered, real-world approach.
To be a leading institution of business and technology education by providing students with the academic and professional preparation needed to achieve upward career mobility.
At the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology, we value:
A culture of respect facilitates highly positive interactions between and among students, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders.
Knowledge allows us all, regardless of the role we serve, to maximize our capacity for achievement.
Every individual has the potential to succeed.
- Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity in all its forms enriches the educational experience — both in and out of the classroom.
- Global Perspectives
Students with global perspectives will be better prepared to serve the organizations and communities in which they live and work.
“As a student from China, I chose to study at Webster University because of the countless opportunities it presented me. An MBA major, I enjoy the small classes and personalized attention I receive from my professors.”
Assessments and Accreditations
We have established a sound framework for quality assurance, impacting the delivery of courses throughout Webster’s worldwide network of campus locations. Each program is founded on four pillars: 1) Mission, 2) Quality and Innovation, 3) Impact, and 4) Engagement. A systematic approach to continuous improvement clearly depends upon establishing a process through which all stakeholder groups are afforded a regular opportunity to provide input into each of these pillars.
This process identifies key stakeholder groups and represents an outline of the process being implemented to enable our planning and strategy goals to be achieved. Meaningful data from each stakeholder group are obtained on a regular basis which ensures a commitment to continuous improvement, highly qualified faculty throughout every Webster location, and exceptionally relevant programs reflecting the needs of the global business community.
We strive to ensure that programs offered throughout our campus network have consistent learning outcomes — something that is vital for accreditation and to allow students to seamlessly move from one Webster location to another.
The phrase "One university = One curriculum" succinctly states the school's commitment to ensuring one high quality curriculum for each program, no matter where in the world of Webster courses comprising a program are taught. Such consistency subsequently provides the foundation for assessment processes being established, and the continuous improvement mechanisms necessary to enhance student learning and meeting accreditation criteria in our multi-campus environment.
ACBSP provides specialized business accreditation, therefore, programs housed in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department do not fall under this accreditation.
