Some graduate degrees and certificates in the School of Education require an essay as part of the admission process. To see whether or not an essay is required for admission, refer to the program's Admission Requirements in the graduate studies catalog.

Content: Your essay should display your interest for learning and be a thoughtful reflection of your personal experiences, beliefs and career aspirations. It serves as a formal example of your best academic writing.

Webster University’s Educator Preparedness Program is a recipient of the prestigious Frank Murray Award from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Webster was one of only 32 institutions worldwide — and the only college or university in Missouri — to earn this recognition. Reserved for institutions that achieve the gold standard in teacher preparation with zero stipulations for improvement, this award highlights our commitment to excellence.
