Public Art

Public art is a significant aspect of the council's role. Public Art at Webster University is art on campus that appears outside of the traditional art settings of studio/classrooms, museums and galleries. The Webster University Art Council aims to use public art on campus to promote, stimulate, respectfully provoke and encourage intellectual dialogue, while celebrating art presence on campus. The council recommends action to the president, who retains sole decision-making authority.
