The Big Bend Apartments house approximately 45 residents in shared one- and two-bedroom apartments. Located just 0.8 miles from campus, the Big Bend Apartments are a great option for students looking to be a bit further from campus, but still want the convenience offered with on-campus housing. The complex is comprised of three buildings.

Big Bend Apartments Information

All apartments include:

All apartments are fully furnished and include a full kitchen. Most units are a shared bedroom with another student, but some private bedrooms are available. Residents share a bathroom with the other student(s) in the apartment. The complex has an adjacent parking lot along with on-site coin laundry.

*Please note that we do allow items to be hung on the walls, but students will be charged for excessive wall/paint damages. Use small finishing nails or thumbtacks, no more than 10 holes per wall. Painter’s tape is recommended for hanging items. We do not recommend utilizing Command hooks/strips due to the possibility of tearing paint during removal. Students choosing to use Command hooks/strips do so knowing damage charges may result at removal.

**Big Bend residents should anticipate bringing a wireless router for wireless internet access. A modem and internet service are provided through University partnerships with Spectrum — instructions for acquisition of cable boxes and modems will be available during the move-in process.

Housing Costs

Students enrolled at the St. Louis campus are required to live on campus for their first two years at Webster University.

City of Webster Groves Occupancy Permit

All residents of Big Bend are required to complete an Occupancy Permit per the City of Webster Groves. This costs $30 and needs to be done with each apartment within five days of move-in.

Dining Costs

All students living in the residence halls (West, East and Maria halls) and all first-time freshmen living on campus are required to have a meal plan for the full academic year. Residents assigned to an apartment space are not required to have a meal plan and can purchase a meal plan, if interested, by completing a Meal Plan Contract (available online in the Housing Portal or on paper in the Housing and Residential Life Office).

Parking Costs

Students in Big Bend have on-site parking included in their rent. For campus parking, students who live in Big Bend apartments park in the Garden Park Plaza or most flat lots with a Yellow permit. Parking permits are required for all Webster University parking lots and the Garden Park Plaza garage. Parking permits define where vehicles, including bicycles must be parked or stored. Options for Big Bend residents include a Yellow Permit, Motorcycle Permit and a Bicycle/Scooter Permit.
