Engage Our Community as Global Leaders

At Webster University, we’re united in our belief in free and rigorous intellectual inquiry that comes alive in our classrooms, both in-person and virtual, thanks to our distinguished faculty members and diverse student body. The College of Humanities and Social Sciences provides an educational environment that is broad-minded, radically inclusive, utterly respectful and grounded in critical and humane thought. Our students learn not what to think — but how to think.

Choosing Webster

A global focus, small class sizes, financial assistance, the Webster community and a great Study Abroad program are among the reasons International Relations student Igho Ekakitie chose to transfer to Webster University.

Education with Global Impact

Institutes

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is the home of two institutes designed with a global community in mind. Both institutes have focused degree and certificate programs.

Citizenship and Stewardship

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is home to three distinct programs that help promote critical thinking and cultural awareness. The mission of the Center for Ethics is to stimulate dialogue, encourage awareness and promote critical thinking about ethical issues. At the Centre Francophone, learn how to organize cultural events and promote existing French and francophone programming. Develop and apply your English skills at Webster — which has international reach — with the English as a Second Language program.
